Waste-Free Lunches

Edison Go Green encourages students to bring a waste-free lunch.  We encourage students to reduce their waste by bringing drinks in reusable bottles, packing food in reusable boxes/containers and using washable cloth napkins.
For more info on waste-free lunches see www.wastefreelunches.org.

In 2009 we were awarded a $1000 grant to purchase waste-free lunch items in bulk so we can offer some products to parents at a lower cost.  We are hoping that by doing this we will encourage more students and parents to pack waste-free lunches. We also have talented parents who make cloth napkins and cloth sandwich bags.

Right now Edison Go Green is offering for sale cloth napkins (3 for $3), cloth snack bags ($5), compostable wax bags and Bento Boxes.  Contact Nicci Woodward for current stock and prices.
