NatureBridge Field Trip for 5th Graders

Dear Fifth Grade Families, 

Edison PTA is proud to support the 2017/2018 fifth grade overnight field trip to experience hands-on, environmental science programs in nature’s classroom at NatureBridge on Wednesday 2/21/18 - Friday 2/23/18.

The total cost for each student to attend this 2 night trip to NatureBridge including round trip bus transportation is $373.  The PTA is covering a quarter of this cost.  Each student is asked to contribute $285. The PTA will be handling all payments this year.  

In order to make the total more manageable, the PTA is asking for two payments. 

The first payment of $150 will be due by October 16, 2017.  

The final payment of $135 will be due by January 12, 2018.  

Please submit checks payable to Edison Elementary PTA to your child’s teacher by 10/16/17 and 1/12/18.  The PTA is also making credit card payments an option, via Paypal, for an additional small service charge of 2% (the vendor fee the PTA has to pay).

We want 100% participation from our students! If the cost may keep your child from attending, please contact Principal Slauson. Some families may wish to contribute additional tax-deductible dollars in addition to their own student’s fees so that we may offer assistance to those unable to afford the entire program costs. Donations are welcome! 


Please return the NatureBridge Participant Registration form to your child’s teacher with your first payment on October 16th. If you pay on-line please give a note to your child’s teacher.


If you work for a company that matches charitable donations, please submit your donation to the Edison Elementary PTA  for your child’s trip to NatureBridge for the company to match.  Your company’s matching funds could help fund the trip for another student! Edison Elementary PTA is A 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization EIN: 94-6172011.
